Dismissing this when Russia is not being completely open is a mistake. If this Y pestis or worse then it’s a mistake that the world can’t afford to make. Monitoring the situation and stocking up on antibiotics and PPE is a smart thing for governments, hospitals, etc to do. That’s all that myself and others who are concerned are calling for at this point.

I love posts like this where you can’t tell if it’s satire or the poster is genuinely retarded.

You'd be surprised at how many of the world's greatest manmade disasters were caused by simple incompetence.

You gotta be a special kind of stupid to think that a conspiracy involving hundreds if not thousands or hundreds of thousands of people has been carried out with only vague hints of evidence suggesting it happened instead of dumb assed mistake being made. If you have ever driven a car on a public road and still think this you probably should have someone around all the time to remind your dumb arse to breath 'cause you might forget to....

I’ve already started buying a few things that I will use anyway before expiring.

But I kinda do that anyway. Hate having a bare cupboard as I get older.

Here’s the deal- if this is what we think it could be it’s already spread and will continue spreading- I find it hard to believe that it’s currently locked down in that specific region of Russia. And if it’s antibiotic resistant than we are in deep shite

The woman died about a week after being exposed if timelines are accurate. She was in the hospital about 4 days after being exposed.

If this a deadly transmissible infection then we should already be seeing hospitalizations and deaths, as anyone she exposed would have been a week ago at this point. Possible Russia is covering stuff up obviously.

But again the timeline of the woman’s exposure and illness is accurate then by this weekend we should know if there is more to the story.

That would be the case if Russia was telling the truth or letting foreigners observe. I don’t trust the Russians.

Easily treatable with cheap antibiotics

Which the USA does not have enough of if this becomes a pandemic. Most antibiotics are made in China or India which would quickly shutdown exports if this progresses past a scary news story and into a real problem.

That's a problem that should not exist. It is a great national security issue. We need to keep all critical materials manufacturing here.

Daria Shipilova, 28, had been working at the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East when she fell ill and died in the hospital on Oct. 2 after reportedly dropping a test tube containing the deadly pathogen. However, her mother Svetlana Shipilova, a medical professional, told Russian outlet Glubina that she was not buying that narrative, claiming it’s simply impossible to break a test tube and insisting she knows “the truth,” the Telegraph reported.

“I know the truth,” she said. “I’m having to fend off stupid acquaintances who believed all this – the clever ones didn’t believe it, of course.

“Not even all medical professionals understand it’s impossible to break a test tube like that,” she continued. “Even if you fling it at the wall. Only an amateur could say something like that.

“Even hypothetically, you simply can’t spill what’s inside or break the tube – they’re that well protected,” she insisted.

“They simply let my daughter die.”

Patient zero’s mother is not buying the Russian story either. Also she better stay away from tall buildings for the foreseeable future.
