Not just asking about this dog, but do dogs and cats that survive close encounters with fire come out with a different attitude?
A friend's cat almost burned to death in the Woodway Square Fire in Houston and it took over a month before strangers in the neighborhood could calm her down enough to take her to the vet to try to find her owners. (Her curled whiskers took years to grow out.) She was skitish for over a year later, even around her master.
