WTF does a Kangaroo do with its arms all day to get that jacked?
Genetics. Male Kangaroos are 50% muscle and they're one of the few mammals that never stop growing.

Pictures don't do it justice but thinking of "going over the top" in France during WW1.

Maybe the military guys can explain this one...the day this happened some military guys got sent to Japan from Hawaii, and the very next day japan had the same warning.
That was a big WTF for me.

You just let the entire OT know you have tattoos. My condolences.

You're late to the party. All of the OB already knows, and we don't care.

Looks like a tiger shark about to eat her arse as she gets into the water.
It is a Tiger, she lives in Hawaii and is famous for swimming with Great Whites.

quote:
"In 99.9 percent of the time, sharks cruise gracefully around," the freediver once noted.
"As long as I keep looking around, pay attention constantly and quietly, and respect and pay attention to the more dominant individuals and challenging juveniles constantly. I am treated as more or less an equal predator."
"We should never be complacent. We must be respectful and adapt at every second to every movement."
Ocean Ramsey uses a signature biomimicry wetsuit that imitates the tiger shark's natural camouflage."
The Shark Whisperer
I've had a seven or eight foot Tiger come from behind where I didn't see it and swim 5 feet underneath me while diving off Oahu. Scared the shite out of me, didn't get back in the water for weeks.
Their brains are only big enough to do a few things well.
Being friendly with us smaller humans isn't one of them.

Two engineers died when the windmill they were working on caught fire. This might be the last picture of them.
quote:
This happened on 29 of October in the Netherlands (in Ooltgensplaat to be more precise).
A crew of four was conducting routine maintenance to the 67 meter high turbine. They were in a gondola next to the turbine when a fire broke out. The fire quickly engulfed the only escape route (the stairs in the shaft), trapping two of the maintenance crew on top of the turbine. One of them jumped down and was found in a field next to the turbine. The other victim was found by a special firefighter team that ascended the turbine when the fire died down a bit. The cause of the fire is unknown, but is believed to be a short circuit.
Firefighters are fairly powerless to do anything to fight fires on wind turbines, and due to high costs maintenance crews have limited means and training to escape an emergency situation.
The tragedy in Ooltgensplaat has lead to a political inquiry ('kamervragen' in dutch) into safety precautions for wind turbine maintenance crews.

holy shite, I've seen the pic but didn't know the story, you'd think they'd have fire detection/suppression in that compartment, what an awful way to go
