Or know how to use the bumper jack. Oh, and fuggetaboutit if they had to file down and reset the points when it got hard to start or keep running.

I remember working at a convenience store years ago, and a couple of teenagers were walking all around the car looking for the gas cap. I finally opened the door and yelled "Look under the license plate".

Or wrap a blown old style buss fuse with foil till you could find a new one to replace it.
