Mark Twain (Samuel L. Clemens) and his friend John T. Lewis (probably Twain’s inspiration for the character “Jim” in Huckleberry Finn) at Quarry Farm, Elmira, New York (1903)

The Gilbert U-238 Atomic Energy Lab was a toy lab set that was produced by Alfred Carlton Gilbert, who was an American athlete, magician, toy-maker, business man, and inventor of the well-known Erector Set. The Atomic Energy Lab was released by the A. C. Gilbert Company in 1950. The kit's intention was to allow children to create and watch nuclear and chemical reactions using radioactive material.

Rick Bragg wrote about him in his book Where I Come From. That’s the first picture I’ve ever seen of him

He traveled around in his goat pulled wagon. The news stations would always announce he was in town. People would go see him and get their picture made. Most would tip him a couple of bucks for posing with them for the photo.

He lived to be almost 100. He was 97 or 98 when he died.

Legit CSB The young girl with the peanuts looks a lot to me like the young girl that plays Sheldon's sister on Young Sheldon.

Pictures of how people used to dress day-to-day really show how trashy and sloppy people have become.

My daddy. Before live scan to actually catch a fish. My dad was a sponsored Pro Am bass fisherman. That pic was from the late 70's. I still have the vest he's wearing!

That's a scary, threatening looking creature. That's a mean looking bear, too.

Wait, you are being sarcastic right? That Bear lost its habitat to human filth.

Yep. Even poor people dressed nicely each day. So sad what society has become.

She looks like she is ready to pick a switch if that bear gets out of line.

Wearing dresses and having dinner parties with fancy serving dishes is how it should be.
