That's him. Everybody knew him as simply "Doc". NOBODY called him Jim up here.
And on another related side note... my lab partner was his youngest daughter. All three of them were very pretty and super nice. His oldest daughter competed won the Miss Mississippi-USA pageant in 1981.
Did Jim Ashmore have a son named Brad?

those things usually broke after one or two flights. almost as flimsy as those Styrofoam planes that would also break after a few flights.

Okay, Mauser. That one is worthy of a touch up as well!
Nice wheels! (Not just the car.)

832 St. Philip Street was constructed in 1849 and originally used as a brick factory. Morris Steinberg bought the building in 1909 and operated Steinberg Hide and Fur Company. After World War II he sold the business to his nephew Joseph Lipsey, Sr. who turned the operation into a wholes sale and retail operation, military surplus store and car lot. Eventually the business moved to selling sporting goods equipment and closed for good in 1989.

Picure of my Dad's custom van the ordered and had custom built in Houston in the Mid/Late 70's... Custom Swamp Scene Mural.
He said the interior was custom as well.
Spending the Halliburton/Shell Oil cash.

The ever-elusive OT 10. Just wow.

Another worthy pic from days gone by!
The best pics in this thread are the ones that come from old family albums or are found in a drawer or old forgotten box.
Good find Stingray! (I hope the color is close to correct. Those custom paint jobs from the 70s and early 80s are hard to nail unless you know the car.)
