Titanic Orphans, brothers Michel and Edmond Navratil, 1912.
Saw this pic and had to learn more.
These 2 French boys were basically kidnapped by their father from their mother and aboard the Titanic when it sank. The father didn't survive the sinking.
When it was realized they had nobody to tend to them, a lady passenger, Miss Margaret Hayes, on the Carpathian took the boys in under her care and they were living in N.Y. when a picture of the 2 boys surfaced in the French newspapers and their mother recognized them.
White Star Lines brought her to N.Y. to retrieve her sons and she did so in May of 1912 and returned with them to France.
Michel, the older of the two went on to live a long life, became a Dr. of Philosophy and taught at university in France. He married and had 3 children of his own.
Edmond, the younger of the two became an interior designer then an architect and builder. He fought in the French Army in WWII, was captured and interred in a German POW camp. He eventually escaped the POW camp but it had taken a toll on his health and he died at age 43 in 1953.

This is cool from 1940 OK Stare Fair. Imagine how much all their lives change in Dec 1941.

Baw should've been putting his missile in her silo in the backseat of that '59 Chevy as there was plenty of room in that car for those types of shenanigans.

Who remembers the brief period of time in the mid-1980s when we all absolutely had to have some form this t-shirt?

I never had one.
Pretty sure I got my Panama Jack T-shirt at the Mountain Top flea market a little outside of Gadsden, AL. Odds of it being a genuine article are virtually zero.
Probably picked up one of these while I was there…
And maybe a couple of Ninja throwing stars…
Or possibly a Ramo knife…

Those eyes.
You can see he’s from the Adams family.
