Is that Basil Wolverton art?

Recently read some of his early "Space Patrol" and "Spacehawk" stories from the early days (1939-41) of comic books. Pretty damned imaginative stuff, actually.

It looks like it could be, but you'd think a true BW figure would be further over the top. This is a fairly standard Igor monster

Anyone here ever see the Crumb doc? Is BW mentioned? His influence on RC seems obvious, but I dont recall ever hearing it talked about
