You choose the guy. Eventually they’ll both move on in other relationships. He’ll still be cool with you and his new chick will likely be fine hanging with you and your girlfriend. BUT... The dude that she’ll eventually date likely won’t want to hang out with you because of your past friendship with her ex.

ie. It’s gonna play itself out one way and regardless you eventually won’t be friends with her either way.

When I divorced, we each ended up with primarily the friends we had from before we married with relatively little crossover, just a couple friends who have successfully rode the fence. I almost never talk to any of her friends anymore, and that don’t bother me none

Sounds way to complicated. Time to hit both with, new phone who this. Especially since you don’t have a wife to tell you which one you are allowed to continue to be friends with. You can call it pwhipped or whatever but it sure comes in handy in these situations.

Why wouldn’t you just call the dude and tell him the situation.. If he acts odd then say you won’t help her..
