I think for the most part there has been an all-out smear campaign on certain experimental therapies used against Corona. Yet, there still have been no definitive studies that can conclude, one way or another, whether said therapies work.

Here is a tweet a NJ physician sent out that hopefully provides some perspective on what he specifically observes to be working or not.

These #COVID19 treatments appear to help patients:
1. Proning to improve hypoxia & prevent intubation
2. HCQ/Zpak/Zinc if used early otherwise useless
3. Remdesivir
4. IL6 inhibition (we use Tocilizumab & Sarilumab)
***This is our experience but more studies are needed

I truly believe each of these therapies, especially convalescent plasma, have their place in the treatment regimen that could potentially alter the disease progression in patients stricken by this virus. There just hasn't been a single GOOD study completed, yet that backs any therapy. There is not a single one to date that can definitively say whether they are effective, or not, due to design alone.

Bottom line: use your critical thinking skills and realize a drug's effectiveness cannot be determined by a retrospective cohort study, nor an open label RCT that doesn't confirm if the patient even has the disease the drug supposedly treats.

True. It's why it's sad to see an MSNBC headline that states "Study Shows HCQ Deadlier when given to patients with COVID-19 compared to no medication at all!!!"

Even when:

-It was a retrospective cohort study; you would be laughed at if you claimed that was evidence based medicine
-The HCQ treatment group had a considerable proportion of patients that had more co-morbidities (ie obesity, asthma, diabetes) and a more severe presentation than the non-treatment group
-It fails to include Azithromycin and Zinc in the treatment regimen
-It failed to acknowledge there has already been evidence that HCQ is NOT effective when the patient is in severe/critical condition
-It fails to acknowledge there is no way to tell that HCQ caused cardiac adverse effects because the cytokine storm (which a good proportion of the patients were in) can induce a fulminant myocarditis
-AND this study was funded by Gilead*; the pharmaceutical company who has a patent on the drug, Remdesivir, which has shown limited success in treating patients with moderate to severe COVID 19

That's the study people are basing conclusions off of....

Didn’t you also say 8-10 million people were going to die due to this pandemic?

You could either save a lot of people’s lives and have the economy suck for a month or two

OR

You could slowly watch 7-10 million people die because of overall hospital resource shortage AND have the economy suck for many months Watching this virus take over our country will not make anyone optimistic in the market

I've read several places that zinc is helpful if taken early - like other viral infections. It is not a cure, but can help slow the replication of the virus in your system.

My doc told me to consume edibles, get sunshine, avoid weirdos, and take some melatonin at night if I'm having trouble sleeping.

So far my vaccine has worked

One hospital around here allegedly used a hyperbaric chamber pretty successfully. There was an article I read about it a few days ago. St. Landry parish

Major news networks are useless in trying to get real facts. They ALL have their motives to cater to their target audience, and frankly don't really care to verify any "facts" they'll present.

Let's face it, in all honesty, any drug, etc people take will help some and not others and with varying results. So, its just stupid for the CNNs to downplay certain treatments for somehow it makes Trump look good. And on the other side, FoxNews will pump all sorts of sunshine about the drug.

At first? With absolutely no restrictions in place and no viable therapeutics at the time? Yeah. I still stick by that. People are unhealthy as shite in the US. We were sitting ducks before a plan was set in place. As a result, we still have the highest death toll in the world even with social restrictions in place.

I said a month or, so. Well, it's been a month. Supplies are restocked and therapies have been tested (at least anecdotally). Hospitals have enough room. It's time to get back to work. The point of the month of social distancing is to find out more about the virus before it ransacked us.

I think places like South Dakota could afford to not have stay at home orders because they are implementing HCQ/Azithromycin treatments early in the outpatient setting. And it's a large rural state with low population density.

I think Sweden can withstand no social distancing protocols, as a country, simply due to their citizens adhering to social distancing protocols they practice regardless if it was in law or not.

Here’s what I’m doing. Stay well.

Clif High's SARS-COV-2 PREVENTATIVE Vitamin Regimen:
Vitamin C(lyposomal)...22 mg / lb / day equally spaced(approx. 3 hrs) during the day. Example: weight 180 lbs x 22 mg/lb x 1.2(absorption factor) = 4750 mg per day....So take 5000 mg / day
Vitamin D.......................5000 iu / day
Zinc (as Gluconate)..... 30 mg / day w/ 2 mg Cu (15-1 ratio) You can get the Cu from your Multi-vitamin or look for this combination in Zinc supplements.
Chaga Mushrooms Tea heat extract........twice daily, 1 teaspoon in 2 cups water, boil & remove from heat to add the Chaga, return to boil for 5 minutes minimum, filter & flavor to taste.
I personally like to boil it w/ a slice of lemon & add a little raw (unheated, unfiltered) Buckwheat honey after adding an ice cube to cool it down. No fear & no vaccines needed; be well all.

Dietary zinc doesnt directly stop the virus.

It is however critical for proper immune response, especially while ill.

Target around 8-11 mg per day. More doesn’t do much for you

This.

You use a lozenge to coat your throat. Don't eat or drink anything for a half hour before or after.

I use it when a bug is going around.
