You should ask to watch in the corner. At least you would feel like you are a part of it.

To me, an emotional affair is just as bad as a physical one.

I get what you're saying, but when turning someone's face into a Toaster Struddle is part of the equation, the affair is much more serious.

emotional affair

More common than you think

I know of a case where an unhappy wife reconnected w a former fling who lived across the country. Nothing physical ever happened but she would talk to him more than her husband. Husband neglected her and she sought/received attention from the other guy.

Wife eventually leaves the husband and continues the long distance communication with the cross country flame. Five years post divorce, they finally meet up and the guy nopes out

The wife is now living a life that is near poverty levels while the jilted husband continues his six figure lifestyle sans the naggy wife

I suppose it depends on if the emotional affair led to a physical affair instead of just a "f*ck". If that is the case, it would be tough to separate emotionally.

Good point. Which would be worse to recover from? And would that recovery just your emotional or would you even want that person back?

No, my marriage ended a while ago. This is type a random thought thread.

The amount of lying that comes with an emotional affair would seem to be far greater than a physical one. It would be like playing charades 24/7. I don't see how one's spouse could recover from that and ever trust their partner again.

Well said.

So if a chick sends you nudes on snapchat and you jack off to them is that physical or emotional?

Pure definition of emotional affair. Now, how many married OT's don't think this can happen? They become expert at hiding it.

Is an emotional affair someone seeking some attention and affirmation from someone other than their spouse? Sounds similar to people on social media.

Odd. Haven't heard this since a buddy brought this up about 7 years ago and also thought an emotional was worse. You two are women.

I'll deal better with emotional over physical every day because a degree of both are involved at some point. And there's the whole toaster strudel thing.

Good points. But not a woman. How would you deal with your wife being "in love" with another man versus just fricking him?

It depends on whether you cry after you're finished.
