Do live in or plan on parking on the street in New Orleans? If the answer is no, throw the fricker away.
If you do live in NOLA and/or frequently park on the streets, go to an auto notary and get a new license plate. Then throw the fricker away.
Do not pay those fricking red light tickets. frick RedFlex and frick the City of New Orleans.

They will boot your car in NOLA for non-payment. Pay the ticket. Also, don't speed.
I didn’t pay for a while. The forth notice that was sent to me stated that if it wasn’t paid my plate number and car would be turned over suject to booting if found. Must have cash to pay booting fee and ticket fee before release.

I still haven't paid any of mine. Probably have 50 by now. Once I check to see if I was looking sexy that day, they go straight to the trash

I got one in Baton Rouge, at the corner of Sherwood and Coursey, for not stopping completely as I was turning right on red. I paid it, but I wish I had consulted with an attorney first. America is becoming an authoritarian nation, with this police state bullshite (that they claim is for my safety). It is similar to being trapped inside a chemical plant. I wonder when they will start giving citations to people for leaving their house without their hardhat and safety glasses on?
I would be careful about taking advise from anybody who is posting on this forum (in regards to not paying). It is a private company recording the violation, but a Baton Rouge traffic cop that reviews it, and signs off on it. And the fine is sent to "The City of Baton Rouge."

He was in a school zone on Sunday, smarty pants. New Orleans is notorious for having school zone lights and cameras that do not work properly. I got one in June in a school zone last year and school had been out for about 3 weeks. I reported the faulty lights to the city, got a report number, sent it to the outfit in AZ via email and received a dismissal shortly thereafter.

If you don't pay it they will seize your vehicle in the middle of the night.

I have gotten city parking tickets without getting booted. I think the scan van has to catch you

I just got a ticket in the mail for speeding(31 in a 25) in New Orleans. I've heard that you aren't actually liable to pay the company. Has anyone else had to deal with this BS?
If it was speeding is 25 mph zone, make sure its wasn't one of the NOPD cars they station near all the schools to photo enforce speeding. Those started in January and are different from the red light camera tickets.

They are stickered to look exactly like NOPD cars, but are not

who drives them around? They always have one parked in front of the same house a block away from the local school.
Posted on 9/21/17 at 7:26 pm to Hammertime
Y'all keep in mind they are now erecting the actual cams on standards, so don't think you're good if you don't see the car. Also, I've seen a dark blue cam car, my eyes pick up the white from a distance, now I have to train them for the dark cars.
Posted on 9/21/17 at 7:33 pm to TigerintheNO
Windows are tinted, and I'm always hauling arse when I go by, so I have no idea. Half of the time, there is an actual cop car sitting on the block

My wife recently got one on College Dr and I trashed it. We got the second notice today and this time I noticed that there was a police officers name on it. Are the rules different in BR if you don't pay it?
Posted on 5/7/18 at 8:02 pm to tigersaint07
Yea, old bump I know. Wife was lost (and scared) in N.O. and drove through a school zone going 31 in a 20. Made a u-turn (still lost) and drove back through it going 28. I've got two tickets timed one minute apart!
Thanks to the O-T I know exactly what to do with those.
Thought it was interesting they don't actually have a school on the street...just in the area. Also, 20 is pretty damn slow even for a school zone.

They will boot her in Nola. They don't do shite in BR but send you threatening letters. My wife has gotten 3-4 of them we haven’t paid. And yes, she's a shitty driver.
