What app do you recommend to use as a 2nd phone line? I saw an advertisement on Youtube about a year ago and it was recommended for folks who wanted a 2nd number without having to get another phone. I have a small business in which I have to leave an emergency number on the voice message and would prefer that patients do not have access to my regular cell number. Thanks!

If the second number goes to your cell wouldn’t that also be giving them your cell number?

No. I have a google number and it allows you to select which number you dial from.

On phone screen, it says:

Outgoing call: How would you like to place your call to xxx-xxx-xxxx? Google Voice Use carrier number Cancel

Incoming calls don't matter as there is still caller ID.

I use grasshopper for work. It’s about $35 a month. When my work number is called it rings my cellphone.

I have phone.com and I’m not a fan. Need to look into other options.

This.

I work for a small business as well and this is the app that we use. It rings directly to your cell phone but has a completely different number. You can also set the business hours however you would like so it either rings or goes straight to voicemail.
