We were lucky in a lot of East Texas, stuck between the heat domes most of the summer. Still above average but not quite the arse beating of the last two.

The winters are really when you can tell somethings off though. 2 weeks of cold weather and the rest may as well be April or May temp wise. At least we don’t have to cover the plants as often as we used to.

The massive under water south Pacific volcano late '22 is mostly responsible for the last two Summer's record breaking Heat!

It was super smart to build a large population center there.

Waters fricking wet. Deal with it, you're in the desert.

I would rather a dry heat at 100 degrees than the 110 degree heat indexes that we have down here.

Drink water, protect your skin, and get a hat, it’s not that bad.

Your sweat evaporates so you don’t feel like you need a shower every five minutes.

Multiple others have mentioned that Flagstaff is 2 hours away and is 30 degrees cooler.

By the time I get to Phoenix, she’ll be basking
She’ll find the note I left burning on her door
She'll laugh when she reads the part that says I'm steamin’
'Cause I've left that girl steamin’ so many times before

Not if you're in the Baton Rouge area it hasn't been. It may seem like it compared to last year, but it has still been a well above Normal Summer for the area.

Last year, at my home in DFW, I recorded 55 days of 100° or greater.

This year, so far, only 22.
