People are sexually mature and perfectly capable of reproducing at that point.

Seems obvious to me he’s stating that young “men”… in his case, 16 years old, should just go ahead and marry the girl when they are BOTH young. I haven’t seen anything to suggest that he’s saying a 40yr old man should marry a 15 year old.
He even mentioned it book it was most a joke about finding someone you want to marry early like he and Kay. I think they got state officially married later, but in comments about his and Kay’s age he may have been talking biblical sense as they both were not Christians back then and seemed like people viewed them as married before they were. I didn’t take as seriously as those who don’t agree with his Christian beliefs. Same people that tried to cancel him off the show for comments on gays before A&E regained some common sense about who their target audience was for shows like that. It’s was also based on the Bible.
quote:He started at Tech in 1966 which was same year they married.
They were practically an old married couple when Phil attended Louisiana Tech on a football scholarship;

Never met him but I will someday.

So that's what he had. I remember hearing that he was ill, but for some reason I was thinking cancer.
Met his wife one time when I was getting a haircut. Very nice lady.
Sorry to hear.

I'll never forgive him for unleashing the long beard epidemic that still plagues the US today.

He went to jersey plenty and that is legal as of 21. Probably flew his doctor from there down to LA to help with his "mercy"

RIP to a man who showed that faith can restore a man's life.
I'm sure he is now "Happy Happy Happy".

Six pages in this thread. Over half of it is a sick, twisted leftist that is shitting on the grave of his domestic enemy.
You cannot coexist with people that want you dead, then cheer on your death while calling you every name in the book.
While this sick frick is pontificating on a joke the man told, he supports people that don't know what a woman is, as well as grooming your kids. Everything he is saying is projection. You need to start ignoring these sick fricks. You replying to them only feeds their sociopathy.

Have you not been here long enough to know that you’re replying to someone who is always trying to be edgy?

It still irritates me.
I knew Phil and I attended his Bible study every Sunday for a few years.
He basically modeled his life after the Bible over the last 40 years and was as genuine as you can be.
The reason he didn’t like computers and phones is because he saw so many people he counseled that were addicted to porn. He thought this was evil. So many ruined marriages.
He gave money to drug addicts and ex cons, housed them, and gave them jobs. He helped single mothers who were at their lowest. He bought a guy a dang 18 wheeler just to get him on his feet before.
Truly an incredible person and family whom practice exactly what they preach.

My dad’s go to duck call is his 40 year old OG DC call.
My first call was the OG DC call as well, and it’s 20 years old and still my favorite to use.
RIP to a legend.

I think Phil would be the first to correct you on that, but based on his faith in Christ as Savior alone, he’s there.
