Do they really think that forklift is going to even budge a 17,000lb statue?
That forklift is only rated for 10k lbs, and with the boom extended its only rated for 2500-5000 lbs. No way it budges that statue.

Yeah guys, lets wrap the strap around that leg twice...it'll be more secure

Would a broken statue result in contempt of court?

100% not a professional crew
It looks like they are just putting straps random places. No lift plan in place. No supervision. No experience on the crew. These guys have never done this before.
Anybody know who the crane company is?

Is this dude wrapping it in saran wrap?!?!?!?!
Also, what's up with the strap in the front on the leg? I know it's not all wrapped around that leg, that is asking for trouble.

When we see them regroup and look at their phones in a few minutes, you'll know someone alerted them to the graphic Scooba posted at the top of this page.

If the leg breaks, Aspy will be PISSED.

What kind of dumb donkey fricks do they have doing this rigging?
"Hey, I've got an idea: let's wrap a strap around one of the horse's legs!!! That'll hold it!!!"

The straps don't like anything I saw in the picture even the pictures with the Red Lines across the photo so I'm guessing this is a new formula they are using.

You ever heard of center of mass? IIRC, that's supposed to be around a horse's ankle

It looks like there are only straps on the front left leg and the back right leg. No way this thing doesn't roll. That is if they can lift it.

Pretty sure every one of the do not do's are currently being done tonight on poor ol PGTB.

If it's placed how I think they placed it, it's gonna break and it's not gonna be good.
Also, if TB08 is right, WTF were they thinking.

They realize that the slack in two of those means its making it harder for them to lift it off the base?
Posted on 5/17/17 at 12:31 am to Scooba
They need to wrap the leg one more time just to be safe.
Posted on 5/17/17 at 12:31 am to Rox
As soon as they lift it and free it from its base it's going to want to roll.

Someone should call OSHA so they can shut this down. I'm sure there are some violations going on there..
