You know they would be too embarrassed to take that rickety setup loose and start over.

I just looked at WWL. What kind of dumb donkey fricks do they have doing this rigging? This is one of the absolute biggest hack jobs I have ever seen

Why wouldn't they use a D-Shackle to secure all of the straps to the hook. It doesn't look like the hook has a clasp.

They have all of the straps just piled on top of each other.

Would be funny as hell for landrieu having to answer for a worker getting injured.

Now they are sharpening by sanding down the fork lift's two lifts to see if it can wedge in between the statute and the cement because the statute isn't budging.

omfg
They are trying to sharpen the forks on the forklift with a grinder so they can try and pry the statue from its base.

This is the most fricked up operation I've ever seen.

They have no idea what they're doing.

Do they really think that forklift is going to even budge a 17,000lb statue?

The combination of people arguing and these brain trusts not knowing where to put a strap on a statue is comedy gold.

Not surprised when you some of the dumb shits that work for the city. My friend in lakeview had a literal geyser in his front yard for a month before they came to fix it.
