I had to bring him to a pet crematorium. I felt like I was abandoning him. Did I want a private service with the ashes in an urn for $350? No.

Please bury me in a wooden box. The whole upsell portion of the death process, even with pets, is gross.

Have a dog and cat. Cats are amazing creatures and I count myself lucky to have a cat. On another thread someone mentioned how a horse sized dog is cool and a cat bigger than a Pomeranian would kill you. How cool is it to live with an animal like that. Those same people love Mike. Sorry you lost a pet.

I'm not a cat person and would never buy one. When I bought my home, it just happened that it came with a kitten. It was feral. I couldn't get it to come near me but, my dog could approach it. Finally, she relented and now allows us to pet her and pick her up. She remains an outside cat and acts just like my dog. When he sticks his body outside of the railings of my porch to survey our land, so does she. When he takes off running around the property, so does she. It's pretty funny. She definitely still has a lot of cat traits but, she reminds me of a dog everyday. Her name is KC. Short for kitty cat.

OP, sorry for your loss.

We inherited a cat too or got talked into another one I should say.

That fricker goes outside with the dogs and patrols like they do. It's weird.

why does EVERY cat owner in the history of cat owners try and say this?

No they don't, I've never came across a cat that acted even remotely like a dog.
Also they try to play up being cat owners against owning a dog but will do it by saying their cat acts and thinks it's a dog... Da frick?

Try hard douche.

Very sorry. I love dogs but cats are cool in their own way, especially if they have a lot of personality like yours. I had a cat that died 20 years ago and I still miss him and think of him every day.

I guess it's a credit more to my dog than anything else for not ripping her apart when she was a malnourished, feral kitten(he calls himself a dog? ) and "training" her to act like a domestic animal.
