I mean, there are always outliers.

I don't do any PI/ID work. But both sides are filled with scumbags. We need some serious tort reform.

This has nothing to do with the legal system. This is pure fraud.

Yes, we need tort reform. We also need 50 years sentences for people who pull this fraud crap. You have to
make the penalty outweigh the reward.

Being a crooked pos pays in this world. I fricking hate that too. It makes it VERY hard for people that want to do the right thing.

I'd bulldoze every civil court in America if I could.

You got a problem, call the cops. Beat my arse, ruin my credit, whatever... that whole part of the justice system is so effing superfluous.

Tort reform doesn’t deal with fraud, they usually cap the damages so people who are really hurt get fricked. This guys should be hung on the Trees outside the courthouse. This hurts every legitimate case.

One major party is being ignored in all these arguments: the court system. District judges in several parishes are one big reason insurance companies settle out of court. Go watch a civil case in Orleans Parish, East Baton Rouge Parish, in the "Free State of Livingston", St. Landry. etc etc etc. Judges in these and other parishes hammer insurance companies with large, fact-less judgments. Defense attys know who these judges are & know it it is good legal business to stay out of court where these judges rule like gods. Used to know, have lost track now, but : how many district judges are former (failed ?) plaintiff attys? Way too many. JBE's closest adviser is Matthew Block, whose firm is one of the biggest plaintiff firms in La. Said firm has made millions suing oil companies. A coincidence JBE is fighting so hard to keep the wetlands suits ongoing?
