My wife got offered a travel nursing job in Minnesota at over $4500 a week. She's been doing ICU for over 15 years.

How many patients have you actually watched die from this virus?

Even if they brought MidCity back where do they get beds/iv poles/etc to even think about starting? Or do they still have things there?
I worked at OLOL MANY moons ago and wouldn't want to be there now. Even before Covid.

What do placards with a green background and a stop sign in the middle and a black background with a stop sign in the middle placed outside a patient's room mean?

Well if being fat kills you with Covid-19, there goes about half the country

Not likely. They are 1:1. Probably saw both though.

A patient on a vent can't be shocked? I'm not a nurse so I have no idea.

We have opened a couple units strictly for covid pts and they are quickly filling up.

My unit has 20 beds. Each icu is similar in size at my hospital. And they are filling up fast. I’m not exaggerating. We started with 2 pts today. We will be filled in the icu by the morning with covid pts.

I understand you are a nurse and your day to day activities have to do with assessing patients and giving care specific to a doctor's orders, but you have to improve the way you're communicating.
I am sure you're a fine public speaker, but you're losing a lot of credibility by not being able to form a complete sentence.

This is bugging me too. It's not a good look and goes against establishing credibility, albeit a slightly petty gripe.
I've also noticed that the "nurses" who post on here incessantly shorten 'patient' to 'pt' as if using jargon makes them look more legit.
It's a small thing, but it bugs the hell out of me.

Personal experience as an ICU nurse providing care

My wife worked ICU at lake for years. She will likely be going back to ICU this week and she just confirmed they are currently coding covid patients. Are you just trying to cause panic, or are you just trolling?

If saying pt bothers you then you have a problem.
