See NFL Offensive line men as an extreme example. Better cardiovascular system and lung capacity than plenty of "skinny guys".

That’s kinda bizarre to me. People are being forced to go no code as a condition of escalation of care? Is this because the cardiomyopathy these people are getting would require VA ECMO and shocking is pointless?

An adjusted BMI would prolly rule out most lineman based off muscle mass so again you are wrong

An adjusted BMI would change BMI stats for half the country. Which is exactly why BMI is crap.

Shocking is pointless. We can’t take the pt off the ventilator so we unfortunately can not shock the pt. Olol doesn’t have echmo either

So both folks were obese?

Thankfully OLOL isn’t being “overwhelmed”

How many ICU beds are y’all up to?

I appreciate everything nurses and doctors are doing but I feel like many think this is their time to be in the know and have shown up with highly opinionated information and have been speaking like its fact. Its only fueling panic. No offense to you OP but there are about 15 of these a day and they are often met with completely contradictory information from other doctor and nurses.
