Because normally you would code a patient if they are dying. These patients we are not coding if they lose a pulse

Are you getting DNRs on 40 and 50 year olds and not coding them because of that?

I’ve been a nurse for 25 years.

You sound like you are full of shite.

Exactly.

DNRs are hard enough to get on old people
half in the grave from family. . There are no DNRs for Covid people in their 40s and 50s.

This guy ran because he is making shite up.

I know 100% for a fact you are lying. When I told my wife about this she called a close friend and coworker on the covid unit just to make sure something didn’t happen over the weekend. Totally not true.

I’m a Hospice nurse. Go ahead and educate me on DNRs.

Ex was working the unit in the last few days, they are rotating nurses in/out it appears.

Not saying flappy is full of shite, but when this thread was posted there had only been two deaths in BR, not even sure both were at OLOL. Him saying the ICUs are filling up would be a huge change from early last night.

It seems it harder to get a DNR on Minorities and lower social economic classes in my experience.

And I'm JAFERD

ICUs are pretty full at base case which is scary. They have converted part of the old children’s wing into ICU and will likely do the same with other areas that are set up with negative pressure and vents.
