Makes me appreciate the west. Anyone know how long this thing will last? Friday night I'll be at around a 3.2 Bortle according to that map

Woke up at 5 and saw about 20. Very cool. I saw a bunch of satellites too. I was just enjoying the meteors before they calmed down and then I thought about taking some pics. Here’s a 10 second exposure where I captured 8 satellites:

Forgot about the meteor shower. Got up to do my normal run at 4 am and saw several. Cool way to make an early morning run better.

This shower typically drops off very quickly after the peak. You can still see some Friday but the numbers are likely to be significantly lower.

I looked up from about 10:30-11:30 last night and didn’t see crap. Probably too much light pollution by my house. You could see stars but only the brighter ones. Glad someone got to see them!

Wow I just went out and seen 2 within 10 minutes. Am I just lucky or are they still really active tonight? They looked close as hell too which was unexpected.

I was in North LA fishing this morning and got to the pond an hour early. Was wondering why it looked as if the world was ending - there were streaks moving across the sky every 10 seconds. Thanks for the post! Now I know I’m not crazy
