- 22k/112k were in New York and New Jersey alone
- 103k/112k deaths are age 55+
- 941 deaths TOTAL from age 0-34

We’ve given up trillions (with more to come) for .034% of the total US population, the overwhelming number of those being retirement age.

I agree that the shut downs aren't worth it

But you need to move your decimal place over 2 places to represent it as a %

Funny how often people who "do the math" make that mistake.

A lot of them

The biggest hoax of our time continues marching on

Election year...

If this was any kind of bad you would be hearing stories all day about star high school kids dying. Members of congress dying. Literally anyone at all dying.

Nah. Its just a number on a screen. A couple random old drug user celebrities died from it maybe.

Terrifying!

But 112k is just not a whole lot of people. Half that many die of flu some years, and I don't remember a single person dying of flu my whole life.

112k is just not a lot on its own, no reason to pretend most of them died of something else.

Actually the state of Colorado began separating out their cases to “death from COVID” and “death with COVID”.

They found that approx 25% of deaths directly attributed to COVID were Inaccurate and rather an incidental finding.

So, if we apply that number here - 112,000 x .25 = 28,000.

I guess anything below 30,000 is considered “very few”?

112,000 - (103,000 + 941) = x

If you are talking about the states this needs to be Updated to 46.7k/112k. New York City had 22k deaths

So should we have done what everyone's new favorite country, Sweden, did?
Because they are currently listed as 35% higher deaths per million. Plus, if our deaths from covid are lower like y'all suggest, they are really even higher than 35%.

Well, reported heart attacks and strokes are both down 40%. And I don’t think that’s because people are eating less, exercising more, or becoming less stressed.

This is simply not true.

I have had 2 patients die from sepsis due to lower extremity wounds, and a 3rd that is in the ICU and probably will die as well.

All of these people are 80+ with diabetes, kidney failure, vascular disease, etc, and were placed on hospice.

None of them had any symptoms from their COVID infection.

So that is 3 patients, in one hospital. I can assure everyone my experience is not unique.

CDC also announced that the recent spike in cases could be that the tests are picking up head colds.

But truth be dammed
