Don't really care what they think... they have salt trucks and snow plows and other winter service vehicles (not that we should need snow plows) and probably less elevated roadways. It wouldn't make any sense to invest in vehicles to salt the roadways here.

Cold and bodies of water are generally two big no-nos.

No, not yet. Supposed to get there later this evening, and it's still very wet out, raining a little right now downtown.

So I guess the main concern is bridges still being wet when the temperature drops below freezing.

Which is at what midnight?

So they are shutting the city down at noon because it is drizzling?

If anyone thinks city employees get anything accomplished after noon on a Friday they are kidding themselves.

That's pathetic

A lot of people said this when work and schools were closed the Friday morning the beginning of the Great flood. Hard to blame people for being cautious after the year we've had.

I'm out working. So are most of the rest of the people who voted for these idiots and pay their salary.

frick them . and let's not compare every rain storm to that flood now.

It isn't hard to blame people for being stupid, though.

We are forecasted to get less than an inch of rain today.

It won't drop below freezing until long after normal work hours.

I don't understand this. We aren't even projected to get icy precipitation today.
