One of my buddies at LSU, (Local) had never left La or flown. In fact, he didn't even know how to direct me to the airport. (I was from Lafayette)

There are some employees at our company who have never left New Orleans

We told one to go to Kenner and he was like "I've never been there"

I've never been on a plane. I tour the country at times playing music too, which I know is an inconvenience. Two of my friends have been killed in plane crashes at different times, and I have this recurring dream about crashing in a plane. Which started before any of that happened.

I have a friend from high school they went on the play college football. On his last road trip his senior year the flight home was terrible and he vowed he would never fly again. That was almost 50 years ago and he has not flown since.

I have a few friends in their 30's who have never flown and never been north of Baton Rouge, west of Houston or east of Disney World.

Driving is cheaper, more convenient, faster even for 1000 mile trips, and your luggage won't get lost.

I've never been on a jet and don't plan to. Took flying lessons in single engine planes at our little airport here when I was a kid. That was pretty cool.

I worked with a guy from DEEP livingston parish years ago. He had never spent 1 night away from home till he came to work with us, he was 28 yes old. He was one backwards-arse guy. Farthest he bad ever been from home was some BFE town in southern Ms.
He did have cows and would bring us unpasteurized and unhomogized milk which was damn tasty

First time in a plane ever, I was in control at take off. Scared one passenger and alarmed the tower. It was at Lakefront Airport.

This weird fat guy who lived with his mother in New Orleans; his only trip out of New Orleans was a bus trip to Baton Rouge to LSU. Just the idea of leaving New Orleans made him sick and he panicked and took a taxi back home.

she'd never left west Houma before (she was like 27 or so). had no clue how to get to Raceland.

A lot of African Americans barely leave their own hometown.

No. just No

Unless you have a large group. Solo flying is always cheaper and faster. Hell driving is never faster.

I just got round trip tix to Vegas in November for $250. My dad got tix to LAX same month for $125.

round trip. Gas in my truck to LA and back would be a lot more than that.

Stepson has a friend that had never left the area. (Lafayette) He's 16. My husband took him and stepson to Port Aransas to check on FIL's boat. He was amazed at the city of Houston. Took pics of everything on ride over. Took videos of the boat in a storage unit. On the lift. Everything. Posted it all on social media. He was amazed. Quite sad really. I wanted to take him on vacation with us to Mexico, but his parents wouldn't get him a passport. Kinda worked out though. Didn't want to feed him for a week since he doesnt have any discretion when ordering food at restaurants. Appetizer, huge steak, desert! Easy 50-75 per meal just on him. Poor kid just doesn't know any better.

If that is a fireable offense then I wouldn't have been able to hold a job in my early 20's

I've never flown. I did get out of Louisiana, though. In alabama now. Out of the pot, into the fire. It's not so bad, except for the bama fans.

Well, next time you go to Gulf Shores you should take him. Are his parents poor?

I hate flying and only do it when absolutely necessary. Usually when I come home to visit my parents once or twice a year. Used to fly for work all the feeling time and got used to it, but still didn't care for it. I'd never get in a plane again if I could help it.

Have traveled to a few places and lived in La., Tx., Ca., and Ma. Drove from Baton Rouge to Houston, Houston to L.A., L.A. to Boston. Flew back to L.A. from Boston and shipped my car when I moved back out there.
