Yes this describes a ton of people that I work with. We’ve been remote for awhile but are starting to phase back in to office work. Despite things being obviously very slow, the topic of being so busy usually comes up. My response is usually, “uh yep. No kidding”. Either they are completely deranged or I missed a bunch of memos

People think I have an easy job being a weather observer for the government. I make it look easy cause I have 27 years of experience. I put in a lot of schooling to work in weather but somehow people think I’m a failure like bob breck or some shite.

Oil and gas service rig supervisors or pushers. These guys sit in their truck for 6 hours, write up poorly worded service tickets, setup cones for the next job, and then beep their horn if the crew does something stupid. They complain about having to write 2-3 emails a day and answering a phone call from the rig coordinator. These guys were bring in 120-140k a year with only a high school education.
