Sorry, I’m at a loss to offer advice.

The sidewalks I frequent are not populated by folks who rap to themselves.

Or to anyone else for that matter.

Congrats on not living in a big city.

I think it speaks to the continual dumbing down and denigration of society, and the failure of parents to teach manners, respect for others, conscience and shame.

Same thing when ”a certain class of people” roll down the windows on their dodge chargers at a stoplight or gas station and blare their rap so it can be heard for miles; talking obnoxiously in the movie theater; slinking around malls in hoodies in packs.

It’s odd, obnoxious, and often intimidating, behavior that shows a lack of care and respect for the comfort of others who are witnessing it. Don’t you dare make eye contact with them either, because that would just be rude.

I’ve got a (family) place in the big city.

I don’t spend much time there. (15-20 nights/year)

I can’t recall hearing anyone rapping around it.

I see them staring at passing drivers and rapping. Must be thinking they are giving a concert or something. Wish my commute didn’t require passing thru Northside Lafayette. That area will never change.

Having attended River Parish public schools, this was the norm in every hallway. It wasn't till I got to LSU I realized it was uncommon.

What is the purpose of posting about it on here? You think anyone here knows what the dude you are describing is thinking?

Sounds like he lost himself in the music, the moment. He owned it.

He better never let it go
