You can still be annoyed and suck it up and do your job.

If I were the worker, I'd be annoyed that someone came in to browse/shop and stayed 30 minutes after the posted closing time, but I'd still have sucked it up and done my job.

Now walking in at 5:50 and just browsing....thats a dickwad move.

I also didn't think about whether the store employees are paid a commission. That would make a difference.

The door might be unlocked to people already in the store can leave.

Joseph A Banks salespeople work on commission. I'm sure they didn't mind.

Maybe should have posted under "First World Problem of the Day?

if you work in the service industry or retail industry, you should never consider closing time to be the time you get off.

The government is dispersing mind-control agents via chemtrails.

They're also putting chemicals in the water to turn the frogs gay.

I think you should focus more on your yoga poses ... this will accomplish two things ...

1) less talking from you
2) increased flexibility in areas that don't "talk."

It sucks to have to stay late, but the employees took the job knowing the hours of operations and what is entailed to do their job

We would have people show up to buy guns five minutes until closing which was rather annoying, particularly at Christmastime when the store closed at 10:00 pm.

He wasn't buying a washable suit at Men's Wearhouse.

Most small, good stores close at 5 or 6 p.m.

If it's a small shop with nice suits and not Dillard's I can guarantee you those people appreciate the business. They would've gladly stayed until 7:30.

Worst part about managing a store. It was mostly Indians who didn’t give a frick. Store closes at 10 and it takes 30+ minutes to close down and send my employees home. Can’t start any of it with customers in the store.

DUDE! Is your part of the woods starting to be flooded with them?

Did DFW get another 20 call centers that I am not aware of?

does a doctor get pissed when he’s about to leave work and a patient gets rushed in?

No. He sucks it up and does his job.

Does a refinery worker get pissed when 10 min before he clocks out, something goes wrong and he has to stay a few hours to help correct the problem? No he sucks it up and does his job.

You are talking about refinery workers (I figure $40 per hour, minimum) and a doctor. I doubt the store employees make even $15 per hour.

When I worked at Blockbuster, I used to fricking hate the people that would sneak through the door at 11:59. "I know what I want!" Yeah, I know what I want too; to go home.

I would normally start turning the lights off on them once 12:00 rolled around.

Define cheap?

There are $500+ suits in there.

Not everyone can throw 2 grand plus for a suit every month
