People who routinely back into parking spots when other spots are available

Unless you are driving a freight truck or some other large commercial vehicle and need to either unload or pick up something, there is typically no reason why you should have to back into a spot.
I would be more forgiving if the only parking options were tight quarters, because I am unaware that some people feel more comfortable backing up than pulling in.
However, if you are driving a damn SUV, sedan, or pickup, and are trying to back into a spot in a parking lot with, at minimum, 50 available parking spots (the majority of which have no vehicles next to them) and thereby block other vehicles seeking to go around you to merely pull into a nearby spot, then you are just the most self-centered, near-sighted, and nonsensical jackass on the face of the planet.
ETA: I'm not talking about oil field or plant workers. I don't know what kind of bullshite policy your employer enforces. I'm talking specifically about a general parking lot at either a commonplace business (e.g. supermarket, retail store, etc.) or even at LSU.

I do it all the time. You're gonna be alright and I can make a quick exit if needed.

It's SOP for a lot of oilfield hands that drive company trucks. Sorry you don't know this and are among the poors.

It's easier to back into a tight parking spot with my truck. It also makes leaving quicker and easier.

It a safety requirement for a lot of people on work sites.
Also, if there is room (like 2 spaces together) it's easier for a truck to back in knowing when they leave someone might have pulled in next to them.
Chill out, bud.

If you are blocking someone while backing in thats 1 thing but in general if you arent backing in you're fricking up. Being able to drive straight out of a spot after a long tiring day is completely worth it.

I don't disagree but I understand trucks doing it. Never when there are a shitload of spots though.
