If you’re 6’6” and have room to kick a seat then you’ve got plenty room and if you’re stupid enough to get arrested on a plane cause someone reclines their seat you’ve got bigger issues than than being uncomfortable

Get over yourself. You talk like it's immoral and disrespectful to recline a seat that was built to recline as if your personal space on a commercial airplane is sacred and cannot be encroached upon.

You sound poor. Whatever's behind me on the plane isn't my problem. I'm pretty much always in Economy Plus with the extra legroom anyway.

As of March of this year I’ve had five. The two god gave me and the three Brent Bankston gave me.

There's lots of things that we can do in this world, that are built that way, that common human decency says we shouldn't.

We don't have to hold open doors for people. The door swings, I don't NEED to wait the 10 seconds for your fat arse to catch up. You can open it. I don't have to return the shopping cart. Your fat arse has legs, you can put it back in your grocery store job. You're paid to do it. I don't HAVE to turn on my blinker, your slow arse can deal with it. No cop will pull me over for that.

I don't have to wave if your selfish attitude actually comes up from the muck and does something nice.

But I do all of those things. Because it's right and moral.

It's immoral to jam your seat back for no reason when we're all on the same plane. We're all going the same place, we're all in the same seat

Frankly, it's impossible to work, which is what I am doing 99% of the time, with someone reclining. Because I don't working a grocery store like you do.

you have to know if you book in coach, there is a chance whoever is in front of you will recline their seat. Just is what it is.
Yeah, it's irritating when someone does it but spending time worked up about is as useless as moving into an apartment and getting worked up because you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around.

Correct. But that doesn't mean that people who recline aren't shitty humans. They are. No need to jam knees in their back, just feel sorry for their level of pure selfishness. Just awful people. Unfortunately, the world has some terrible people, nd recliners are definitely some of them.

I happen to have just been promoted to assistant manager at H-E-B, thank you very much.

Edited to add: You're a bona fide Karen.

Karen's are literally rude and inconsiderate. Saying that you deserve to recline your seat and screw the person behind you is literally a Karen move. Karen's are by definition self-centered.

Whats the mantra of Karen's "I deserve to get mine and screw everyone else." What does that sound like to you?

I don’t give a crap if you recline your seat but I do tend to agree with some others that the type of person who does recline their seat will more times than not be a specific breed of human.

The same kind that I always imagine when you say something like that. Someone proud to be treating his whale of a wife to the finer things in life - economy seating. Kick your feet up baby and relax. What taking them so long with my ginger ale!

These people are the undesirables. The undesirables are never self aware enough to know it. I am forever and always aware of you though. This is my curse.

I worked in the aviation industry many years ago. The answer from the airlines at that time was that the person in the seat had total choice in how they orient their seat.

When you purchase an airline ticket you have the option to pay for more legroom if you feel you need. I'd you can't afford that extra legroom then you can't afford to be comfortable. That's just life.

I'll keep my seat upright out of courtesy on short flights but not for something 3 hours or more. You're welcome to recline your seat too.

IIRC from the thread you are 6'4" meaning you are taller than 97.5% of American men. At 2SD you are on the very outside edge of what the world is designed for. As a result, you are going to be uncomfortable in a lot of situations. This is a you problem. Your genetics are often an advantage but they aren't when it comes to steerage seats and most sports cars. Nobody should have to bear the cross you are saddled with especially when you have options to give yourself the legroom you need.
