I might start using this. I don't know why but it's subtly hilarious to me

I mix it up for the tone or just because. Thanks, thank you, regards, best regards, best, cheers, have a great weekend, happy holidays, just my name, just my initials, etc. I'll throw in a "love," every now and then when I'm sending a close colleague a message just to mess with them.

My favorite that I've seen:

Onward!
Name

The stuffy ones are those who include a stock valediction in their signature so they don't have to think about the closing at all.

I end my emails with "Cheers". If it brightens just one person's day, it is worth it.

If this really bothers you, I’m guessing it’s because you already generally dislike the person who sent the email. I can’t imagine it would even register otherwise.

I send and receive so many emails in the course of a week that signatures don’t make me feel much other than boredom — to the point that I occasionally fight this subversive impulse to replace mine with something that’s either aggressively contrarian or nonsensical:

Insincerely,
Worst,
Utterly regardless,
Feloniously yours,
In fricktardery,
Truaminalidapressure,

Etc. Just to see if anyone notices.

At least with thank you, your thanking them for reading your email.
Am I? or I am I thanking them for the content in the email?

Well it's nicer than ending the email with " Go frick Yourself" .. B/c that's what I do when people that irritate me and I have to respond to an email..

The best are the ones that sign with their initials with unusual capitalization:
