People who don't wear seatbelts and never been in an automobile collision check in...

I've never been in an automobile collision despite having driver's license since 1993. Based on this, there is no need for myself or kids to wear a seatbelt.
Instead I will drive defensively, practice safe following distance and be cautious at intersections.
Anyone else doing the same?

I’ll say this, I rarely wear my seatbelt, but the only time I was ever involved in an accident I was wearing it.

in 6th grade, one of my best friends died when he was ejected from his brother's truck and hit a tree. at his funeral, his mom asked us kids to always wear our seatbelt to honor his memory. since then, i've always worn mine.

Been down in two helicopter crashes and one roll over car crash on icy roads, always, ALWAYS wore belts and and PROUD to say so and ALIVE UNINJURED to talk about it

Well my sister was rising in a truck that got rear ended and flipped on it's top before skidding to a stop. If she had been wearing her seatbelt she would have been decapitated.
My point? One off anecdotes mean nothing for larger group statistics. Wear your seatbelt... Get your flu shot...

I only obey the speed limit/wear my seatbelt if I am drinking beer and dont want to get pulled over. Conclusion... drinking beer makes me safer.

I wear one because my truck won’t stop beeping at me if I don’t. I think this is really silly since, with a truck, there are many times I’m getting in and out and only driving short distances if I’m working at the ranch. It’s beyond annoying.
Other than that, I don’t have a problem wearing it. The only people I’ve ever heard that do are usually fat and uncomfortable with it squishing their fat up.
