are extremely inconsiderate.

Listen, most people want to do their work well and go home.

No one cares if your insecure. Few will think worse of you and most will be great full because then people can be assured you’re doing work well. We understand what you do is difficult and we’ve all been in the same place of being scared to ask

What people do fricking not appreciate is waiting till 5:15 for someone to notice you’re nowhere near your daily deliverables and several people are going to ha e to hold your hand well after the time they could have been at homes with their friends and family.

Speak up and speak up early. Ask multiple people. Different people will have different insights. And you’ll learn. You’ll be a better employee. And people won’t fricking hate your guts because you made them wait around on your arse as you struggle through things that we are thrilled to help you with.

Passive aggressive leadership. Style ain't gonna get you far baw. A real manager would address this directly with employee before it happens and not bitch on an anonymous message board. You are not senior management material and that's why you are stuck holding the hands of hourly employees after 5pm.

I get it. Unfortunately some work places have toxic environments where asking for help results in nothing but people criticizing you and making sure that all of management knows you didn’t know the answer to something and trying to throw you under the bus. And in the really toxic places where management plays butt kiss / favorites they listen to the POS that is trying to cause trouble. And then because neither the apOS nor management actually knows the answer either they chastise you Ben more and never actually help so source back at square one except you had to go through an hour of bs in order to get there.

I ain’t a manager at all. Just noticing some things.

This is not aimed at anyone. Just some worldly advice that just kinda flowed out. I’ve been guilty as hell for this in the past and looking back it was unforgivable. I see it happening now and just want to let people know it’s ok to ask for help

I'll reach out to you and leverage your knowledge next time so we can create some synergies and be more efficient moving forward.

I have never in my life asked for help at a job. Not once.

I considered the times where I didn't know what I was doing to be training.

Now, when the shite hits the fan, I'm the coolest motherfricker in the room. Stress bleeds right off, and if anything I become more methodical and precise.
