I know a dude who is a cashier at a grocery store, has been for just about all of his adult life. He is a genius, but has no people skills, etc. If you would talk to him, you would wonder if he is either really smart or retarded.

He was in college in the early 90s. He went to LSU. He would start telling the professors they were wrong or go into more detail. They got mad, he stopped going to class and would spend the day riding the bus around campus while he read.

I have a lawyer friend who thought it was not possible to move a bookcase through a door because it was too tall. It didn't occur to him to lie it on its side to go through the door.
