I think it’s more of just this reflex to auto say “ouch!!” and shake their hand like dropping a pencil just burned the shite out of them or something. I don’t know why, it seems silly honestly.

Some people actually fake injury for insurance claims. It's pretty sad. I felt pain yesterday when my girlfriend gave me blue balls. I hate when that happens.

I'm sure ER docs get a kick out of the responses to the "On a scale of one to ten" question. People can be up, walking, talking, and laughing, and still say their pain is a level 10
