If these are your only two determinitive distinctions then a) I assume you never go even 1mph over the speed limit and 2) you don't know much about edibles. Oh or 3) just like to make dumb arguments.

The illegal thing is fine for a reason not to partake. It is utterly ridiculous as a reason to judge people for partaking.

I did think of an exception--even though weed should of course be illegal, I would say that there is at least a rational basis for criticizing parents with minor children who risk family finances and even going to prison by smoking. It SHOULDN'T have to be this way, but our horrific war on drugs has made it so.
