Your company should use email addresses that use the name people go by.
Bingo .... or go by last names and then let the company email client offer a drop down of available choices. First initial, last name.

I hate my mother for naming me but knowing she wanted me to go by my middle name. Why not just put it first? It causes so many fricking issues.
Yes. My only lecture to expecting parents is to make the kid's first name the one you will call him or her. Please don't make it their middle name.
Otherwise, the child will have to deal with every schoolteacher, professor, doctor, airline, government agency, IT or HR department, etc. calling them by a first name that they do not use and may not even recognize when it is called.
The child will always resent that their parents did this to them.

Yep. Had no choice on this one. Never needed nor used my first name until I went to college. Now only telemarketers and doctors call me by my first name. Kinda handy actually.
Mr Flying - bad news or harassment
Mr Tiger - a friend or someone I know

I can't help what my parents did. I've never seen you, but I assume you use that reasoning a lot, too.

This is not a big deal. What kind of mouth breather wouldn't be able to recognize their own first name?

Ya, we all decided at the prime age of 0 months which name we would be identified as.

I go by my middle name. I actually enjoy the confusion it creates. Anyone who matters knows what I go by.
ETA: I didn't realize so many did this. Also, my company is not so rigid they can't give me a correct email address.
