People that call everyone by their last name

It’s very awkward to me. I’ve tried it on for size before but it definitely doesn’t fit. It comes across as a try hard dork or something. Same with calling people by nick names / rap names. Awkward to the point of a mild cringe.

Some of the greatest friends I have today I still call by their last name. I don't call my Army buds by their first name, because of using last names when we served.

When you have 3 guys all with the same first name in your friend group, it's kind if necessary.
