People Starting Go-Fund-Me Pages to Pay for Vacations and Weddings

What is wrong with this entitled society? I know one girl that is requesting donations for her vacation and now I saw this.
Go to the court house and have a quick ceremony if it is that important to your 7 year old. Instead, they want the fan-fare. What is the protocol for gift-giving at a wedding that they didn't even pay for?

My fiancé and I have been engaged for about 3 years now. We have two sons, a 7 year old and a one year old. We are hoping to have a little girl soon. Both of us have basically given up on the idea of a wedding but since it would be both of our first (and only) marriage, my family has been telling me that I'd be crazy to give up on having at least a small wedding. My fiancé and I can't wait to be husband and wife, and our 7 year old is very impatiently waiting for the wedding day but it's just not financially possible any time in the near future.

We prioritize our oldest son's education and his tuition is high. We also have so many home repairs that need to be done, so a wedding has fallen to the back burner, if not completely off the stove! Haha. I was told I should set up a gofundme account and pray that it gets us closer to our dream of becoming man and wife. Anything will help, even prayers. It's an awkward thing asking for money from friends and strangers.... But in spite of that, marrying my best friend would make me the happiest person in the world.

Start a gofundme to pay for the gifts you are going to buy them.
Simple.
Simple.

The problem is that people are dumb enough to donate.

Meh. It's tacky, but no one is forcing anyone to give money.

I need to visit GFM more ofteN just to read more stupid shite like in the OP. It's amazing how people of all walks get the guts to do this.

I need help with my gofundme. I plan on renting out the entire bunny ranch, and need help with the cost of the blow.

I don't have a problem with it. They likely know it's a freakish long shot. The people that donate their money to them though are dumbasses.

I wonder if they have ever gone the extra mile by getting a second job or done without going out to eat to better their situation?

Maybe if they'd have waited to have a child until after they were married they might could afford a wedding. Just sayin'. And not payin'. (See what I did there.)
