I had someone do that to me toward the end of a traffic filled 6 hour drive and I wasn’t in the mood for any shite. He flew up on me and flashed his lights even though there was a line of cars in front of me and I’m right up on everyone. I brake checked the frick out of him and he backed off like a bitch.
And yeah playing the let them think they can pass in the right lane then closing the gap on them is a lot of fun.

I downshift my standard so they don’t have the luxury of seeing my brake lights.
Running off the road and kicking up gravel also works. You should try it.

I used to enjoy doing this back when I had a long commute. Driving home in the evening in I-10 on the stretch between La Place and Kenner was the worst. Ignorant frickers would try to come up on the right and cut in at the last second almost clipping the car in the right lane as well as my front bumper trying to squeeze in.
Trashy trucks and dodge chargers were 90% of the ones doing this.

I assume they don’t know. I’ve reached the age in life where it’s so much easier to assume the best. When someone is rushing through traffic and cutting people off, I just say, “I hope they make it to the hospital on time,” and go about my day.
