Can you blame them?
Hopefully they stay in Louisiana and don't move too far away.

Roads are shite.
Look, Teedy's upgrades to First Class come first. Somebody has to pay for that. Once that's out of the way, maybe you can get some services with whatever's left.

0 murders, 0 carjackings in 2022 in the light area of the red circle
I’ll let you draw your own conclusions

Well, that may be a fact but did you also know that it's offensive?

They’re leaving New Orleans for safer areas like Jefferson and st Tammany parishes.
why cant these mfers stay in the liberal utopia they created
sucks that st tammany has exploded so much even in just the last few years. with more moving up and DR horton popping up everywhere and it getting more dense it will be at most 10 years before it becomes unbearable.

We arent moving for another 2-3 years, however, we've put the family condo in the WD back on the market.....my parents dont use it anymore and my siblings dont either.....we've had it rented for the past 2 years for pretty good money but the guy just moved out last week, so I went over there today to get all the cable boxes and internet router and met the realtor so they can start staging it for an open house this weekend.
If anyone is looking for a nice 1br/1bth furnished condo in the WD with a private entrance, across the street from Emerils, next to Tommys and walking distance to several restaurants, bars, art studios, etc send an email to my username@yahoo

Don’t buy an $800k house in Metairie East so you can say you live in New Orleans

Who are the people buying the homes of those who are leaving?
Investors and second/third home crowd for the most part.

Investors are buying shithole doubles and turning them into 6 bedroom dorms around the Universities.
Tulane and Loyola are catching a lot of heat lately for not providing adequate housing for their students and the local neighborhoods are not fricking happy with the Double to Dorms program

Real facts. People in the nicer areas of the city have not had any need for the government for 3 decades. So the fact the government is getting worse means nothing to them. It also allows them to vote for the woke candidates beeause it lets them look good while not actually impacting them.

I love how they say it’s a shite hole but don’t give ways to fix said shite hole. They would be called racist but they would be right.

It’s not just residents leaving it’s also businesses who are quietly relocating out of Orleans Parish.
At some point soon Orleans is going to have to account for the loss in revenue and hike the property taxes up again.
