Is it just me or do people in South LA die young all the time?

I know so many more dead people than most people I know from other places.

Yes.

People in South LA are very good; therefore we die young.

A lot of that. A lot of suicides. A lot of car wrecks. And cancer too.

That’s awesome. Except for the cancer part.

I know exactly what you mean. I’m from Shreveport area and work with a bunch of guys from Kaplan. I know very few people my age that have died, and my coworkers talk about friends dying every Monday morning. It’s uncanny.

Being that I used to snort opiates, I know too many young people who died from overdose.

Been clean now for 6 years and out of about 20-25 of us that were friends growing up, then started using, there's only 3 or 4 of us left, including me.

It's sad not only that they died young, but many were good ole baws and girls for the most part. They weren't some type of person like that bootyhole Bama baw.

Smoking doesn’t make people crash their cars.

South Louisiana does have higher rates of cancer than a lot of the country. Maybe some nice capitalists can figure that one out.
