This 100%. Not only is it a poor comparison, but you just sound like a complete moron saying stuff like this. It’s the pussification of America seeing all these people crying about wearing masks or getting vaccinated.

Imagine not being able to get an apartment because there’s a new city ordinance that allows apartment owners to require vaccinations for new buyers. Or an HOA that requires it for a neighborhood. We are seriously not that far off from “ghettos”

Its the people crying when I don’t wear my mask or get vaccinated. Can’t you see that? They’re the ones judging and saying I’m not allowed to have certain freedoms.

ETA: the people who don’t wear masks don’t give a shite if anyone else wears them. Same with vaccinations. If you get one, fantastic. It’s the other way around where some are bitching about what I do or don’t do.

I know, right? Everyone needs to quit being a pussy and worrying about whether everyone has had a shot or is wearing a mask. Imagine being so scared that you are cool with not allowing others to be a part of society because they haven't had a shot

I’m sure there’s an overreach of power going on here
So then, if there is an overreach, to what end? Why is it ok, ever, for a cop to beat a 12 year old girl, or boy, for that matter? An overreach in pre-Nazi Germany, like Brownshirts brawling in the streets against their critics and opponents, was a precursor to greater and greater overreaches once the Nazis were in power. Soon they became the law unto themselves and nothing they did to anyone was considered an overreach…officially.

So you're saying wearing a mask makes you brave and courageous, get a grip dude.

I agree the comparisons to nazi Germany are pretty dumb, and needless, but this is the dumbest take I've read on here regarding the restrictions in a few days, and that's saying something.

Stupid takes like this encourage hyperbole to continue on the other side as well.

One could ask the same question here, Why didn't Americans stop the cancer that now runs our country? The idiotic Democrats and Trump-haters drank the kool-aid and with the help of a virus to create chaos they pushed Sleepy, Creepy Joe across the finish line. Rigged election? Damn right!

Although true, when you start comparing things to Nazis, you are typically focusing on their worst - the mass genocide.

New York City now has an Untermensch class. People with preexisting health conditions that prevent them from getting the vaccine can not participate in basic civil society. It’s every bit as disgusting as the Jim Crow laws and De Blasio should go to jail for even attempting it.

That would be like me comparing Republicans to Nazis because they both oppose communism. Is it true sure, but that’s not the defining trait of the Nazi party.

Ummmm, no it’s not.

OK, tell me how NYC’s new laws not allowing unvaccinated people, especially ones with preexisting health conditions that don’t allow them to get the vaccine, is any different from Jim Crow laws? No, I’m not being hyperbolic. We’re here. They’re not throwing people into ovens yet, but we now have a class system of people who can and can’t participate in society. With what New York has now done, where are we on this chart?

It really is incredible how people refuse to learn from history just because people whose ideology they support are the ones currently doing it.
