Food makes me poop so I try and avoid it.

This is true. But in the past few decades mankind has stopped eating real food.

Lots of downvotes, but it's essentially correct. Unless you have some significant disregulation your body knows when it needs water.

All of this "you need x oz o water per day" has the same amount of science behind it as the no salt and no saturated fat crusades - which is to say, precisely zero.

Water is very good for you in moderation. There is nothing better than a huge swig of cool water when you wake up at 2:00 a m.

It's good for you in whatever quantity your body needs it.

I prefer it cold to cool, but yes - drinking when thirsty is magically satisfying. Almost as if the body has been evolved to create this signal/reward cycle.

what sources of protein do you consume and how does it fit into your overall nutrition? I'm struggling with getting more protein in my diet and still maintaining my overall daily targets.

8-10oz of egg whites morning and night.

Then 5-6oz of chicken, turkey, lean ground beef, fish three times per day in between (mid morning, lunch, mid afternoon

ETA: Usually throw a 5 pound pack of chicken in the slow cooker and then do 3-4 pounds of lean ground beef or turkey on the stove every Sunday. Protein source is cooked for the week.

I drink for need only, do not carry around the adult version of baby bottle all day. Never required that much hydration.

What do you add in with these?

Well if you go back to just early 1900s, average life expectancy was in the 50s……..so maybe not the next defense.

Hmm..early 1900s, without correcting your bullshite number for, oh ... almost every sulfa and antibiotic drug ever invented that saved countless lives.

Maybe not the best defense, eh?
