I see more people carrying water bottles than ever before in refillable bottles. I’m one of them so maybe that’s why I notice.

I’ve always loved water but feel it’s more of a recent phenomenon, within the last 5-10 years. Most kids take a bottle to school daily now, this sparked from covid.

I don’t recall having a single bottle growing up outside of a weird thing to take to football on super hot days.

What say you? Is your water consumption higher these last few years?

As I’ve gotten older it’s just been beat into my head to drink more water. Signs at work, my doctor, and the biggest thing is my body.

In my 20’s I’d drink all night and have a bottle of water in the am and work all day and only drink if I was thirsty. Now that I’m in my 40’s if I’m working my arse off in the heat of the day I have plenty of water and Pedialyte.

Going to hydration bar to get a couple bags when needed has helped me. It’s hard for your body to effectively absorb the water you drink if your electrolytes are out of whack and drinking a lot of water can get your electrolytes out of whack. Double edge sword.

This was my first water bottle. I could drain this thing on a hot day on my grandad's farm.

Water is overrated. Drink when thirsty. Period. No reason to drink water all day.

People are drinking water to keep their appetite in check and a certain level of water is good for you.

Humans didn’t drink a gallon a day during all of history so I gotta wonder if these people that religiously drink a gallon are really doing as much good as they think for themselves.

Certainly drinking good but of water as opposed to other things is better for you.

I aim to get a gallon in a day.

Bring a 40oz stanley with me to work so I know if I drink 3 of those (120oz) I’ve pretty much hit my goal

Just curious, what specific benefits have you witnessed from this practice?
