Very very good after a night of drinking. Grape flavor, that is.

We’d get denied all the time by teachers to go get some water from the water fountain in grade school. This after running hard in Louisiana heat/humidity for a half hour or so in Louisiana at recess.

My kids get to refill water bottles all day.

Actually it does. Without electrolytes it just goes right thru you with no benefit really. You fatties can down vote until you are blue in the face it won't change anything. To be actually hydrated you need electrolytes with the h20. But keep guzzling gallons of water a day thinking you are doing something 'good' and 'healthy' it no different than the morons who do hours of cardio a day. Its pointless in grand scheme of things.

Its astounding how wrong you are. The average american gets plenty of electrolytes through food. Especially sodium. You don’t need to drink it.

Nowhere did I say you had to 'drink' electrolytes. Are you retarded? The average American is obese and the standard American diet isn't healthy. You need electrolytes to be properly hydrated. You don't get properly hydrated by guzzling gallons of water a day.

You need a biology course. Water is absorbed across the mucosa of your intestines and needs no carrier. In fact, you can drink so much water in conditions like psychogenic polydipsia that you drop your levels of sodium to the point of causing seizures and arrhythmias.

To be properly hydrated. Do you understand this? You aren't properly hydrated by drinking gallons of water. That's not how it works. Do you understand the definition of the word properly?

You legitimately have no idea how the human body works and you are putting it on display.

I never had water bottles at school.

I also remember being thirsty a lot.

Upping my water intake helps keep my skin clear, reduces the intensity of dry skin in the winter, and helps prevent UTIs and kidney stones.

I’m pretty sure you’re the one that doesn’t know what they’re ranting about.

Take a course. Water does not need a carrier to be absorbed. And it does not "go right through you" without electrolytes. As I said, you can drink so much you dilute your sodium to dangerous levels.

Bodybuilding? Folks, we got a badass over here. Bodybuilding is very unhealthy unless you are a natty and even then it has significant downsides for overall cardiovascular health and fitness.

Which isn't being hydrated. You are proving my point for me. Drinking gallons of water without proper hydration be it from food or 'hydration supplements' does no good for you. Do you understand this?

simply drinking gallons of water is not the best way to stay properly hydrated. Nowhere did I say water is bad for you.

No, I'm not. I'm showing you that water can be absorbed even as electrolyte levels drop dangerously low. Prior to the danger level though, the person was properly hydrated.

Yes. You're making shite up to claim "properly" hydrated. You're going to have your own definition of "properly" in this argument to suit you. You do not need to take any electrolytes to be hydrated. And, again to your original erroneous statement water does not need a "carrier" to be absorbed.

I used the word 'properly' from my first post on here. It's not something I made up mid discussion.

Why do you keep saying this? Nowhere have I said you need to 'take' extraneous electrolytes. They can come from various sources.

Drinking gallons or even liters of water in absence of electrolytes no matter where they are derived from is not being properly hydrated.

Why are you so big mad over this? You think I'm sitting around knocking back a bunch of 20oz cokes a day?

I'm betting over 50% of this forum does just that. Your average American is fat, lazy, unhealthy, and sick because of the things they eat and drink. You are preaching to the choir here. Also, drinking gallons of water a day is not being properly hydrated especially if you exercise. Its simple.
