Give them your loose change. It's usually kids who are fundraising.

I don't fault wal mart at all. Go look at my previous posts in this thread. I blame the government for the tax breaks, subsidies, ect ect.
And why do you think the "government" makes those policies?
Cause it's bought and paid for by corporations? Oh wait ...thanks to SCOTUS is "free $poken" by "persons"

this, thinking he is somehow better because he has the privilege of paying higher prices somewhere else.
Or because other stores offer a much better produce selection. Though, if you're one of those people that eats all of your food from a box(like most Americans), I guess it's probably like Disney World to you.

It has gotten ridiculous the amount of "fund raisers" outside of Wal-marts in general. Every single time I shop there it is some other group. Me and my wife do not "give/support" groups in this way. We have a few charities we contribute to. If we want girl scout cookies or some candy we have plenty of friends kids or our kids to support through. Very aggravating when they even say "its for the kids" when we tell them no thanks. We have plenty of avenues to support kids through other than donations to strangers kids. Sorry, just the way it is. I don't need to be hassled outside a walmart to donate money when every single kid we know has a fundraiser themselves.

How about get out and walk door to door like kids did 20 years ago. Such lazy little fricks now. Most of the time the kids needing the money don't have the balls to ask for the money so lazy arse mom or dad yells from their chair if you will give some money to support their kid that is participating in something they can't afford to be participating in to start with.

some condescending prick would make a comment like this,

And, yes, I don't want the trailer trash that goes to Walmart shopping where I shop.
And this is where your charade of being some caring, humanistic liberal goes to shite.

I think the Burbank Walmart and the Siegen Marketplace Lowes are running a race to see who can have the most fundraising groups hang out right outside their doors.

I don't know who you are but you sure seem to push people's buttons around here

No, that's business.

Yah if Wal mart went out of business all of the gross people would have to find new places to buy their trashy food - I'm okay with never seeing them at my places.

There are these black church ladies who sometimes sell pralines in front of the Small Mart on Coursey. Two bucks for pure, sugary, awesomeness.

can't really blame walmart, blame the shitty people that shop there because they want to save a couple of bucks instead of supporting local mom and pop grocery stores....walmart's produce section sucks donkey balls btw.

This is a shame to hear. I'm not a WalMart shopper, but there are 2-3 times a year I go for whatever reason, and the Burbank one has filled that need by keeping me from having to deal with the scummy one on College.
Are y'all saying the one on Burbank isn't as quiet/empty as it was before?

But the people who eat fresh produce don't shop at Walmart anyway

by shopping there, you are enabling the Waltons to make billions while paying the employees sub-standard wages.
Walmart is the evil empire.
You're creating an appeal. I think I'll shop there this week.
If Wal-Mart goes out of business, then those employees will receive even less than substandard wages.
Besides, didn't they just announce pay hikes?

Which mom and pop stores?

I do not give a single shite about local stores vs corporations. I only care about where I can get the stuff I want for the cheapest price. I don't owe a damn thing to local stores. Are they going to help me with my mortgage if I help them with theirs? I think not.
