I'm not THIS mad about it, but I also just don't get it. With kids, food and drink service helps keep them occupied. Otherwise I'd just prefer everyone get handed a water bottle when they walk on (aside from booze of course).

But it's usually recreational flyers I see buying meals to eat on the plane. I'm sure they have their reasons, but deciding you want to eat a meal in a confined space next to a stranger on a 90 minute flight is just odd to me.

It’s because they (rightfully so) don’t trust the airline companies not to lose their checked luggage and/or steal stuff out of it. Carryons are often cheaper, too.

Last week I was in a window seat and the woman next to me ate an entire 3 course meal while in flight. I didn’t even need to go but made her pick everything up so I could get out for restroom.

What a terrible thread, and a very unnecessary melt.

What in the hell? A wheeler bag, a laptop bag, and a backpack…and that’s the dudes. Every single idiot brings these damn wheelers and doesn’t check them, only gate check them and wait their asses off to get them at each stop.

If I have a connecting flight, I'm carrying on if possible.

You ain't had your luggage lost before before and it shows.

I don’t know man…

If I’m on a 2-3 day trip, I’m putting everything on my carryon, and I’ll have my laptop bag if it’s for work. Much easier that way…

Now if it’s the full family of 4, usually have to check a few bags since my daughter and wife feel the need to have different shoes for every day, or maybe 2 pair!

Subway is probably the least offensive thing you can bring on a plane. It’s the default for me on 10+ hour flights. Eat half early on so youre not eating shite the airline serves out of desperation. Eat other half instead of breakfast before landing.

Prior to 35 years old men should carry bags on shoulder strap. After that, rolling is acceptable.

I know, let's triple ticket prices.

That will keep the low life's off of our planes.

Weird thing to go on about...how a person handles their luggage. THEIR luggage.
it is their luggage but it is our shared space. And boarding behind these folks trying to stash all their shite takes forever. I carry a backpack. I can pack a day or two clothes and my toiletries and my laptop in it for quick trips. Today’s world of travel ready clothes has made carrying all that shite a non necessity.

If the sons of bitches at the airlines didn't charge you to check a bag, this wouldn't be an issue.

How do I know? I've been flying long enough to remember when you could check bags for free and the boarding process wasn't a damned circus.

I’m 50, and I can’t imagine rolling those goofy things around. If it’s a suit bag that I’m checking…then sure.
