does that surprise you? CNN spins stories to get the left worked up. Fox spins stories to get the right worked up. The truth is usually somewhere in between.

All of them. I've seen clips of Republican lawmakers on every cable and broadcast news network. I've seen them quoted in NYT, Washington Post, and numerous other print media outlets.

I mean is it too much to ask for? Can there not be an objective news sources that simply delivers facts and not commentary/spin? I use the term a lot, but it's true: Infotainment.

Sure, the viewer can look past that bias and make the decision, but most people who sit there with CNN, fox news, MSNBC, etc on all day aren't the think for themselves types. Those channels by their very nature wouldn't exist if they were.

24 hour network news has become activism more than actual journalism. Unfortunately, we are even seeing that in the WH press conferences. Like Trump or not, we all know how he can get. But sometimes, with the way that actual "journalists" literally attempt to get into arguments with him to instigate a reaction, I sometimes catch myself realizing that I would respond the same way. Yes, I voted for Trump. Yes, I do think that he's a little over the top at times. But the way the media sometimes plays "cat and mouse" with him, they tend to ask for it.

But the beauty of this nation is that we get to decide if we want a change or keep things the same this coming November.

I think it's fair to say that journalists ask stupid questions, and some of them sometimes take a confrontational tone with Trump at these press conferences. I think it's also fair to say that Trump often talks out of both sides of his mouth, and his words don't always match the message from other people in his administration. So I don't think it's unfair when a reporter asks him to clarify the White House's position on something where he has said one thing, and someone else has said another. He almost without exception refuses to answer these type questions, and instead often takes a confrontational tone with the reporter and that q&a portion devolves into him shouting down the reporter. But to the right, it's always the reporter's fault. Sometimes the reporter is in the wrong, especially the smug a-hole Jim Acosta, but often they're just trying to get a clearer statement on what the White House's official stance is on something.

All that to say that I think that both are guilty of acting unprofessionally at times.

I can agree with that. I don't always think it is the reporter's fault, but I usually try to find who asked the question and the news station that they're affiliated with. Fox and OAN will throw him fairly softball questions. CNN will straight up try to get into a pissing match with him. And ABC/NBC/CBS will tend to do either depending on the reporter. Sometimes, I will catch myself agreeing with Trump's reaction to certain questions because they're straight up dumb questions and a waste of his time. Other times, I will just wonder why he won't answer that simple question.

Usually he wants it both ways. He doesn't want to clarify the White House's position on something because that gives him accountability to that position. If there's confusion on the position, he can wait and see which position is more beneficial to him and claim victory. It's been his MO for years.

And that means what exactly in terms of what I said?

I know labeling people gives you guys a boner, but it's irrelevant.

My main concern is local political movements.

For example, Harris County pushing mail-in ballots......that's total bullshite and is absolutely influential on the federal level.
